Meet Christel Desmoinaux, a renowned children’s book illustrator and author, at NiQo Arts Studio in Dübendorf, Zürich, on Saturday, March 9th from 10:00 to 12:00 ! She will present her latest book “Momo, et sa toute petite grande amie”, a touching and humorous story about friendship and self-confidence.
Are you looking for a fun and creative activity for your kids? Do you love beautiful and whimsical illustrations? Do you want to discover a new and charming story about friendship and self-confidence?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you won’t want to miss our next event at the art studio! We are thrilled to welcome Christel Desmoinaux, a talented and prolific illustrator and author of children’s books, who will be signing her latest book “Momo, et sa toute petite grande amie” on Saturday, March 9th, from 10 am to 12 pm.
Christel Desmoinaux is a French artist who has been living in Switzerland since 2010. She has illustrated and written more than 60 books for children, featuring adorable and quirky characters such as Plouk, a penguin who is afraid of water, Aldo, a grumpy bear who loves his teddy bear, and Prosper & Lino, two adventurous monkeys who explore the world. She is also a painter and has exhibited her colorful and expressive artworks in various galleries.
Her latest book, “Momo, et sa toute petite grande amie”, is a heartwarming and humorous story about Momo, a big and handsome gorilla who is so shy that he feels very small. Especially when the baboon brothers make fun of him. So he prefers to stay alone. Until he meets a strange and very small creature…
This book is a wonderful way to introduce children to the themes of self-esteem, diversity, and friendship. It is also a feast for the eyes, with Christel’s vibrant and playful illustrations that bring the jungle and its inhabitants to life.
We are also excited to announce that Car Hibou, a mobile francophone bookstore, will be joining us for this event. Car Hibou is a project by Marie-Agnes, a passionate bookseller who wants to share her love of books with the readers of Zurich. She travels with her booktruck, a converted caravan full of books in French for all ages and tastes. You will find a wide selection of novels, comics, children’s books, and more. You can also order books from her online catalog and pick them up at her next stop. Car Hibou is a great way to support local and independent bookselling, and to enjoy the richness and diversity of francophone literature.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet Christel Desmoinaux and Car Hibou, get your book signed, and chat with them about their work and passion. This event is free and open to all ages.
